Guidelines for submitted work:

Please submit work by replying to the message that was sent to you. Please be sure that it follows the following guidelines:

ARTWORK:

Description: Please send a word or text document, with the title, dimension, medium, and date of each piece, as you would like them to appear on the website. Be sure to include the name of the file that each description is associated with so that we know which description correspond with which file.
For example:
File name: gargoyle.jpg
Title: Cat-like Gargoyle
Dimensions: 8" long, 4" high
Medium: Sculpey, wire, glass eyes
Date: 2003

Format: jpg, gif, or swf.
File size: under 100k, except for swf files
Dimensions: Please send images that are no bigger than 400px by 400px. If you don’t know how to change this, we can do it for you, but anything you can do yourself, makes less work for us.
Thumbnail Images: if possible, please also send a thumbnail of each of your submitted pieces, with the dimension being 75px by 75px. You can either pick a section of each piece (see http://www.artist-ink.com/artists/n_z/lyndon/lyndon.htm for an example), or just shrink the entire image. Once again, if you can not do this yourself, we will do it for you.
Copyright Info: If you want a copyright message on each of your individual pieces, please place them there. If you do not know how to do this, we can help you out. Just tell us how you would like the message to read( ie. © 2003 J.A. Smith,  © 2003 John A. Smith ). We will be writing a tutorial on this, and other ways for you to help us out shortly.

WRITING:

Description: Please send a word or text document with the title, date and what type of writing the piece is (ie. poem, short-story, free-write, etc).
Format: Pdf is the best, but Microsoft Word document or txt is acceptable.
Please have the stories looking how you would like them to appear on the page. We will not be doing any editing. All stories that are not sent as pdfs will be converted to pdfs. Please be sure to place copyright info ( ie. © 2003 J.A. Smith,  © 2003 John A. Smith ), on your writing. For writing that covers multiple pages, we suggest inserting this information as a header or footer.

MUSIC:

Format: MP3
Sound Clips: 20 - 30 second sound clips.
Full-length Songs: For full length songs, we would prefer ‘hot-linking’ to files on another website, possibly your own or another website such as MP3.com. If you do not have any other options open to you, we will host some songs for you, but your space will be limited. Please do not send songs to us; temporary ftp accounts will be set up because our email accounts can only hold 10 mb.
